Decision Of Celtic Press To Leave Merthyr Tydfil

That this House, noting that Thomsons Regional newspapers (Celtic Press) draws an income, advertising and readership from a number of weekly newspapers in the South Wales Valley, deplores the company's decision to transfer its production of these papers from Dowlais, Merthyr and Tydfil to Cardiff; reminds the company of the numerous leaders and new stories its papers have written highlighting and condemning other companies' decisions to desert the Valleys communities; urges the company not to betray the long standing loyalty of the Valleys communities; and calls upon Celtic Press to reconsider its decision to leave Dowlais.
