Ozone Friendly Fridges

EDM number 110 in 1993-94, proposed by Simon Hughes on 25/11/1993.

That this House welcomes the arrival of the Greenfreeze domestic fridge in British shops which uses no ozone-damaging CFCs and HCFCs or global warming causing HCFCs; congratulates the Environment Minister for purchasing 20 such fridges for his Department; urges other government departments to follow suit; further urges the Government to make greater efforts to halt the sale of ozone unfriendly fridges; and regrets the failure of British industry to match the dominance of the German fridge industry.
