Revaluation Of Domestic Properties

That this House notes that district valuers are reviewing the banding for council tax purposes of all domestic properties which are bought and sold; further notes that where this results in a higher banding the new band applies from April 1993; deplores this exercise in retrospective taxation; and calls on the Government to instruct the Inland Revenue to cease this practice.
