SCOTTISH WOMEN'S RURAL INSTITUTE;THE FORMER GENERAL SECRETARY BRIDGET WILCOX AND THE HON MEMBER FOR EDINBURGH SOUTH
EDM number 100 in 1993-94, proposed by Bill Walker on 25/11/1993.
That this House congratulates the Scottish Women's Rural Institute and its 35,000 members on the way they help people in need; and notes that the General Secretary, Bridget Wilcox, left her post on 30th July as the result of irreconcilable differences of opinion about how the organisation ought to be run; further notes that Bridget Wilcox signed a document on 11th November confirming that all outstanding claims had been settled to her satisfaction; and deplores the attempts by the honourable Member for Edinburgh South to bring the institute and its officers into disrepute.
This motion has been signed by a total of 4 MPs.
