United Kingdom Forces In Former Yugoslavia
EDM number 996 in 1992-93, proposed by John D Taylor on 03/12/1992.
That this House notes with concern the deteriorating military situation within the former Yugoslavia; deplores the bloodshed being caused by several ethnic groups; recognises the need for humanitarian assistance; but accepts that the United Kingdom has no national interest and no responsibility in the former Yugoslavia and is opposed to British land and air forces becoming involved in any armed operation to impose a political settlement.
