Merger Of Calderdale, Huddersfield And Dewsbury Health Authorities

That this House notes that contrary to its own declared intention the Yorkshire Regional Health Authority has not published all 47 responses to its proposed merger of Calderdale, Huddersfield and Dewsbury health authorities; further notes the proposal was opposed by all democratic representative bodies including Calderdale and Kirklees local authorities and also the honourable Members for Halifax and Dewsbury; calls on the Secretary of State for Health to publish all public responses to the consultation to prove that it has nothing to hide; and notes that under the present Government public consultation has become a devalued process having little to do with the public or real consultation.
