Recycling By Local Authorities

EDM number 932 in 1992-93, proposed by Win Griffiths on 24/11/1992.

That this House believes the Government should provide grants to cover the full local authority start up costs of implementing their recycling plans to meet the targets set out in This Common Inheritance, of 25 per cent. of all household waste; and that as a matter of urgency the Government should take measures to promote actively the market for recycled products.
