Practical Support For The Miners (No.2)

That this House, recognising the impact that consumer boycotts can have in changing commercial and industrial policies, pledges its support to members of the public who (a) refuse to buy from electricity board shops, and (b) withhold ú5 from their electricity payments to the generating board and notify the generating boards of their intention to continue such a boycott until they re-introduce a policy of buying British coal rather than using imported coal or developing gas power stations.
This motion has been signed by a total of 34 MPs.
