Northern Ireland Health Service Cuts

EDM number 823 in 1992-93, proposed by Ian Paisley on 12/11/1992.

That this House calls upon the Government to implement measures to save the Northern Ireland National Health Service from a policy of increasing cutbacks, to restore to this service the full confidence of the local community by implementing measures that will increase the number of consultants, reduce the waiting lists for cardiac surgery and other acute surgery requirements, and to stop the allocation of Northern Board patients to the Republic of Ireland, where they are receiving treatment in private clinics paid for by Northern Ireland taxpayers.

This motion has been signed by a total of 4 MPs.
