SALT'S GRAMMAR SCHOOL BRADFORD OPT OUT BALLOT

EDM number 787 in 1992-93, proposed by Terry Rooney on 10/11/1992.

That this House notes that in the Salt's Grammar School opt out ballot 63 per cent. of parents voted to stay with the local education authority and congratulates those parents on their good sense; notes that this is the only opt out ballot conducted in the Bradford Metropolitan Area where both sides of the argument have been allowed to be presented; and requests the Secretary of State for Education to draw up appropriate guidelines for all ballots.
