That this House condemns the lack of protection for workers of unscrupulous employers such as Burnsalls of 10 Downing Street, Smethwick, who pay appallingly low wages for work in an unhealthy environment, force regular overtime paid at the basic rate and refuse to recognise the workers' chosen trade union; and believes that statutory rights to trade union recognition and enhanced employment protection rights, including a national minimum wage, are necessary to prevent such exploitation.
