Bogus Doctors

EDM number 673 in 1992-93, proposed by Liz Lynne on 27/10/1992.

That this House welcomes the article on the front page of the Today newspaper of 27th October; notes that a journalist with no medical qualifications was offered work as a doctor in the casualty departments of two hospitals; notes also that no efforts were made to check the faked medical degree, curriculum vitae or references; and urges the Secretary of State for Health to take appropriate action to prevent other bogus applicants obtaining job offers.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs.
