EDM number 643 in 1992-93, proposed by Simon Hughes on 23/10/1992.
That this House is appalled by the cruel and unnecessary crash tests on animals being carried out by General Motors; notes that all other major car manufacturers rely solely on sophisticated, computer controlled dummies for safety testing; congratulates the Daily Mirror and the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection for exposing these crude experiments; and calls on Vauxhall to press General Motors, their parent company, to end these tests.
