That this House regrets the decision of the Minister of State of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office not to meet the distinguished Mayor of Bethlehem Mr. Elias Frej accompanied by the United Kingdom representative of the Palestine Liberation Organisation; and believes that the policy of no ministerial contact with the PLO is outdated, ridiculous and unhelpful at a time when the Middle East talks are making progress.
