Customs Service At Leeds/bradford Airport

EDM number 555 in 1992-93, proposed by Terry Rooney on 24/09/1992.

That this House is alarmed at the proposal to withdraw Customs Services from Leeds/Bradford Airport; notes that similar proposals are in hand for other regional airports; further notes that these airports have flights with destinations outside the European Community; condemns these plans as a charter for smugglers and drug dealers; notes the disastrous effect on freight business; and therefore calls for an immediate halt to these proposals and the widest possible public consultation.

This motion has been signed by a total of 23 MPs.
