Electricity Charges And Distribution To The Regions Of England And Wales

EDM number 552 in 1992-93, proposed by Paul Tyler on 24/09/1992.

That this House condemns the threatened rise in electricy prices to be brought about by a change in the National Grid Company's charging policy; believes that a single rate is the most equitable for British consumers; calls upon the Director General of Electricity Supply, Professor Stephen Littlechild, to reject the proposals that would hit commerce and industry in the South West; and congratulates the South Western Region Consumers' Committee of OFFER for highlighting this problem and campaigning for its rejection.

This motion has been signed by a total of 8 MPs.
