Steroid Victims Legal Action
EDM number 521 in 1992-93, proposed by John Gunnell on 15/07/1992.
That this House, recognises that many of the long-term steroid users who were not warned about the possibility of side-effects are suffering serious debilitations, including heart disease, osteoporosis and blindness and believes that they should receive continued full legal aid in pursuing their legal claim against the relevant drug manufacturers and that the Government should recognise its own responsibility for their condition by compensation to those victims now unable to take legal action.
