Post Office District Headquarters, Bangor

EDM number 497 in 1992-93, proposed by Dafydd Wigley on 14/07/1992.

That this House calls on Post Office Counters Ltd. to abandon any plan which would lead to the closure of its district office headquarters at Bangor; believes that this would have disastrous consequences for the special business and cultural needs of North and Mid Wales; notes that this would affect over 60 jobs in an area of high unemployment; and believes that this is another example of the Post Office's contempt for the needs of Wales, whereby all district offices serving Wales in the Royal Mail and parcel force divisions are already located outside its borders.

This motion has been signed by a total of 3 MPs.
