That this House notes that the Birmingham Post & Mail Ltd., a company whose Chairman is the Conservative Party Chairman, is planning to cut the wages of printers by 50 per cent. from 1993 as well as reducing multi-skilled full-time employees in favour of semi-skilled contract staff; and believes that if this is the kind of action which the Prime Minister thinks should not be tackled by the social policies of the European Community, it is little wonder that Britain remains isolated and gives the impression of being set up as the sweat shop of Europe.
