British Telecom Vans

EDM number 343 in 1992-93, proposed by Malcolm Bruce on 25/06/1992.

That this House notes the increasing public concern over the difficulty in seeing British Telecom vans when they are parked due to their grey colour; that British Telecom vans are often forced to park in undesignated places thus increasing the risk to other motorists; that many British Telecom engineers are worried about their safety due to the colour of their vans; and therefore urges the Secretary of State for Transport to consult with British Telecom and ensure that better provisions are made to make British Telecom vans more visible and thus safer for British Telecom staff and for all road users.
