Tobacco Advertising And The Government
EDM number 34 in 1992-93, proposed by Paul Flynn on 11/05/1992.
That this House invites the Government to contradict a claim made in the Independent on 31st March, that the Imperial Tobacco Company gave more than 2,000 poster advertising sites to the Conservative Party election campaign 'as it openly wanted to show its support for the Tories, fearing a ban on tobacco advertising under Labour', by putting a motion to the House supporting the proposed European ban on tobacco advertising.
This motion has been signed by a total of 68 MPs.
