That this House congratulates the Edinburgh Evening News for exposing the unscrupulous timeshare sales practices of International Resort Sales & Tavel Ltd, Dunblane; notes that bogus high street questionnaires are being sued to dupe the public that unverifiable prices are offered, that the public are being subjected to lengthy high pressure sales sessions and that properties being marketed by IRST cost up to five times the actual prices of the properties on site; and calls on the President of the Board of Trade to investigate (a) the suitability of IRST director William Montgomery to hold a credit licence, (b) the trading practices of this company and (c) the complaints being collected by trading standards officers about IRST, and to ask the Director General of Fair Trading to investigate this.
