National Trust Democracy

EDM number 300 in 1992-93, proposed by Alan Meale on 22/06/1992.

That this House expresses its concern at the proxy voting system employed by the National Trust which allows an unspecified number of votes to be cast by the Chairman as he or she wishes; and calls on the National Trust to implement a fairer and more simplified voting procedure to ensure that all members have full confidence in the democratic processes of the Trust.
