Communications Workers Of America
EDM number 295 in 1992-93, proposed by Kate Hoey on 19/06/1992.
That this House notes that the Communications Workers of America which represents 100,000 workers at AT&T, the United States's largest telephone company, has been unable to reach an agreement on a new labour contract with the company; further notes that AT&T has shown a total disregard for acceptable standards of corporate behaviour and is intent on reversing decades of progress in its relations with its workers; and calls on the Board of AT&T to immediately review its policy as their actions bring no credit on the company and will damage international labour relations.
