Selling Health Test Franchises
EDM number 288 in 1992-93, proposed by Alice Mahon on 18/06/1992.
That this House deplores the practice employed by Pulse UK of selling franchises to inexperienced people to run their own health testing services for cholesterol, blood pressure and glucose; notes this practice is being encouraged by the management of the Manchester Royal Infirmary, one of the first opted-out hospital trusts; is appalled at such irresponsible action; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to halt this dangerous practice immediately.
This motion has been signed by a total of 51 MPs.
