European Business School, Parma, And The University Of Wales
EDM number 2595 in 1992-93, proposed by Rhodri Morgan on 04/11/1993.
That this House calls on the University of Wales to set up an urgent inquiry into the conduct of the European Business School at Parma, a higher education institution offering university degrees in business studies under academic supervision from the Cardiff Business School, following the allegations that two members of staff were selling advance copies of the examination papers to the students, who were in turn selling them on to other students; and recognises that this is potentially the worst scandal in the century-long history of the University of Wales and infinitely more serious that the University College Swansea plagiarism scandal, which itself took five years to clear up.
