That this House notes a recent DTI Clean Coal Technology Document in which it says coal is one of the world's most important and abundant fossil fuels and has a significant role in meeting the world's energy requirements well into the 21st century; and calls on the Government to keep its promise to save 31 pits from closure and save this important fossil fuel for future generations.
