Exclusion Order On Gerry Adams

EDM number 2527 in 1992-93, proposed by Harry Barnes on 27/10/1993.

That this House notes that the Government's decision to issue an exclusion order against Gerry Adams has handed him and Sinn Fein a propaganda gift at a time when the Provisional IRA have carried out the most appalling crimes; further believes that if Adams can legally carry on his activities in Northern Ireland he should be able to do the same in Great Britain; and calls for a full review of the use of exclusion orders.
