That this House calls upon Her Majesty's Government to act immediately to ensure a free market in the retailing and distribution of newspapers in the United Kingdom; and sess the current system of monopoly as being against the public interests as it restricts supplies and places burdens on those shopkeepers who wish to service their customers needs rather than those of suppliers.
