Barking-Gospel Oak Railway Line

EDM number 2430 in 1992-93, proposed by Jeremy Corbyn on 27/07/1993.

That this House is concerned for the future of the Barking-Gospel Oak railway line; Believes its use by only 4,000 passengers per day is the result of an inadequate timetable, poor service, elderly rolling stock and un-staffed, dirty and potentially dangerous stations; calls upon Her Majesty's Government to fund the improvements to the track, maintenance of the bridges and improvements to rolling stock; further calls for a better service with through trains to Willesden and other places; and believes that the recent formation of a defence campaign demonstrates public support for this valuable railway.

This motion has been signed by a total of 18 MPs.
