Further Victory For Australia
EDM number 2426 in 1992-93, proposed by Bob Cryer on 26/07/1993.
That this House notes that the disastrous performance of the English cricket team continues unabated; recognises that selling bits of turf, fencing, pavilions, caps and players' shirts and sleeves to the sleaze of the ad-men has not produced the rejuvenation promised by an injection of advertising money into English cricket; continues to be appalled by the subjugation of cricket to commercial exploitation, especially by the manufacturers of the most widely distributed and harmful drug of alcohol; and reminds the clique of failed administrators and managers who run cricket that devotion to cricket should come before devotion to mammon in order to create any basis for success.
