Royal Free Hospital Hampstead
EDM number 2410 in 1992-93, proposed by Glenda Jackson on 23/07/1993.
That this House, aware of the historic contribution made by the Royal Free Hospital to the health and well-being of London, its continuing pursuit of excellence producing the first successful kidney transplant in the world outside the United States of America, its innovative approach to childcare in creating its unique Walk-In Clinic available to children, its cancer and cardiac treatment centre second to none, and its proximity to the M1 which makes it the obvious site for the neurosurgical treatment of road accident victims with head injuries urges therefore the discounting of the swingeing proposals made by the London Implementation Group speciality review boards in regard to the future of the Royal Free Hospital.
