That this House congratulates the new Faculty of Family Planning and Reproductive Health Care of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists on its recent establishment; recognises the importance of an unified United Kingdom representative body for family planning doctors and other associated healthcare professionals; welcomes its commitment to the advancement of medical knowledge and to research in the fields of family planning and reproductive health care, especially in the areas of contraception, contraceptive provision, well-women screening and the management of sexual health, to the education and training of family planning professionals and to the promotion and maintenance of the highest possible standards of clinical care and professional practice; and trusts that the Chairman and the members of the Foundation Board will achieve these commendable aims.
