Hospitals In Northern Ireland
EDM number 2353 in 1992-93, proposed by DN Campbell-Savours on 20/07/1993.
That this House condemns the proposed disastrous reduction in hospital services provided to the Down community within the Eastern Health Board, Northern Ireland; notes that this reduction will force the community within this highly socially deprived area to travel for hours on a totally inadequate road system and on appalling public transport to obtain health care and treatment, which should be their right; and believes that such a reduction puts the 60,000 residents and the vast number of additional tourists at risk, during any period of acute clinical emergency.
