Patients Suffering From The Side Effects Of Steroids
EDM number 2346 in 1992-93, proposed by Liz Lynne on 19/07/1993.
That this House expresses its serious concern about the number of patients who are forced to seek redress via the judicial system after suffering the side-effects of long term steroid treatment; believes that a no fault compensation scheme would be preferable to protracted legal action; and calls on the Government to investigate the establishment of such a scheme, with help from the pharmaceutical industry, to improve and protect the quality of lives for patients.
