United Kingdom Representation At European Parliament
EDM number 234 in 1992-93, proposed by Paul Tyler on 11/06/1992.
That this House welcomes the recommendation of the European Parliament that the number of MEPs for the United Kingdom should be increased from 81 to 87; recognises that this would provide an opportunity to give separate representation to areas with a distinct geographic, historic, economic and cultural identity like Cornwall; and urges the Government to take immediate steps to facilitate the change in time for the 1994 European Parliamentary Election.
This motion has been signed by a total of 5 MPs.
