Icstis And The Advertising Of Telephone Sexlines
EDM number 2246 in 1992-93, proposed by Terry Lewis on 01/07/1993.
That this House broadly welcomes the decision by ICSTIS to confine the advertising of telephone sexlines to 'top shelf' publications; believes, however, that this represents a tacit acknowledgement that such services are contrary to law; further believes that an outright ban on advertising would have been preferable; but nonetheless recognises that together with other measures from BT the reign of the telephone pornographers is almost at an end.
