National Music Day (No. 2)

EDM number 2235 in 1992-93, proposed by Spencer Batiste on 30/06/1993.

That this House congratulates the organisers of National Music Day on its great success on 26th and 27th June when over 1,100 live events took place and which through the medium of television and radio reached millions of people in the United Kingdom, Europe and beyond; also congratulates the sponsors of 115 of these events which were organised for specific charities; and welcomes the opportunity provided by National Music Day to widen the musical horizons of the young, for the performance of several entirely new works, and, above all, for the promotion of the artistic, spiritual and social benefits of the thriving and diverse musical culture in the United Kingdom.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs.
