Religious Freedom In Vietnam

EDM number 2223 in 1992-93, proposed by David Alton on 28/06/1993.

That this House, although welcoming the visit of the Prime Minister of Vietnam on 3rd July, expresses deep concern at the lack of religious freedom in that country and its unwillingness to allow prisoners of faith to be visited by impartial outside observers; and calls upon the government of that country to release all those imprisoned for their religious beliefs and to lift all restrictions on freedom of religion.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs.
