Civil Rights (Disabled Persons) Northern Ireland
EDM number 2212 in 1992-93, proposed by Martin Smyth on 24/06/1993.
That this House calls upon Her Majesty's Government to accept that unfair discrimination against disabled people is morally indefensible; insists that what is morally indefensible should no longer be legally permissible in Northern Ireland; and asks the Prime Minister and the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland to use their influence to secure the urgent enactment of the Civil Rights (Disabled Persons) (Northern Ireland) Bill which has the unanimous support of all Northern Ireland honourable Members.
