Mordechai Vanunu

That this House deplores the sentence passed on the Israeli technician Mordechai Vanunu, who is serving 18 years in solitary confinement on Israel for revealing Israel's nuclear weapons programme to The Sunday Times in 1986; expresses concern at the effect of such a long period of solitary confinement on his mental state; and urges the United Kingdom Government to press for immediate release.
