Beating Of Death Row Prisoners In Jamaica

That this House reiterates its condemnation of the vile and inhuman policies of the Jamaican Government in holding hundreds of prisoners on death row, sometimes for many years; condemns as an outrage the severe beating by members of the Jamaican armed forces of prisoners on death row contained in a letter to the Right honourable Member for Manchester, Gorton from a prisoner who has been on death row since November 1979 and who writes, 'It's very brutal to be on death row, death row is the wickedest place on God's earth, it is hell, I can tell anyone that death row is hell, when people refer to hell I can tell them that death row is hell'.
