That this House congratulates the Aluminium Can Recycling Association in their efforts to promote environmental awareness and recycling of drinks cans in the United Kingdom; notes that millions of aluminium cans are recycled every day at a hi-tech dedicated aluminium cans recycling plant at Warrington and that in 1992, 694 million aluminium cans were recycled in Britain, a recycling rate of 16 per cent. representing a 45 per cent. increase over the previous year; and notes that if every aluminium can in the United Kingdom was recycled ú36 million per annum could be raised for community based projects.
