Fourth Anniversary Of The Tiananmen Square Massacre
EDM number 2156 in 1992-93, proposed by Robert Parry on 15/06/1993.
That this House notes that 4th June 1993 marked the fourth anniversary of the tragic massacre at Tiananmen Square, which resulted in at least 1,000 deaths of unarmed demonstrators by the Chinese authorities; calls upon the Chinese to adopt a more liberal policy on human rights; and calls for the release of all political prisoners and prisoners of conscience as a sign of a more tolerant regime in China.
