CARL BRIDGEWATER CASE AND THE DRAMA 'BAD COMPANY'
EDM number 2073 in 1992-93, proposed by Robin Corbett on 24/05/1993.
That this House congratulates playwright Don Shaw, director David Drury and the BBC on the powerful and moving drama, Bad Company, about the campaign to free those convicted of the 1979 murder of newspaper boy Carl Bridgewater; calls upon the Home Secretary to review his decision not to refer this case to the Court of Appeal; and, in view of sustained public doubt as to the safety of these convictions, urges him now to do so.
