Bowater North East, Peterlee

That this House notes the achievement of Bowater North East, located in Peterlee, its management and workforce in gaining a coveted British Standard Registration to B.S.5750 Part 2 1987, which ensures that all of Bowater's North East, Peterlee, County Durham, operations are carried out to high and regular standards and is a guarantee to customers that their requirements will be met at all times and augments further Bowater's status; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to encourage more companies to achieve equally high standards which reflect staff training and investment in the workforce leading to greater efficiency and safety at the work place.
