Conservative-Labour Pacts
EDM number 2060 in 1992-93, proposed by Paul Tyler on 20/05/1993.
That this House notes with interest that the 18 Conservative members of Wiltshire County Council and the 17 Labour members have combined to vote against the 33 Liberal Democrats in an unholy alliance of the type so abominated by the Right honourable Member for Sutton Coldfield; further notes that the minority Conservative group approached the Labour group on Berkshire County Council to attempt a similar marriage of convenience; and awaits with relish the reaction of the Chairman of the Conservative Party to other examples of pacts which he has previously described as cynical.
This motion has been signed by a total of 13 MPs.
