BBC Wales And Wales Labour Party

That this House deplores the decision by BBC Wales not to broadcast live coverage of the Wales Labour Party's annual conference at Llandudno; notes that BBC Scotland broadcast live coverage of the Scottish Labour Party's annual conference in March; questions the political acumen and judgement of the Controller of BBC Wales, Mr Geraint Talfan Davies, who, while denying the majority political party of Wales this facility, proposes to broadcast live coverage of Plaid Cymru's annual conference; and calls on the Controller and Governors of the BBC to reverse the decision and to give all the political parties in Wales the same broadcasting facilities for their annual party conference in Wales.
