Tibetan People And Chinese Forced Labour Camps

EDM number 2013 in 1992-93, proposed by David Alton on 13/05/1993.

That this House notes its concern about the continued maltreatment of the Tibetan people and the recent documentation concerning 16 million Chinese people incarcerated in China's Laogai Gulag system of forced labour camps which produce many products for the international market; and calls upon the Government to use its influence with the EC and the United States of America to bring about an international boycott of commodities made by slave labour in these camps.
