Coastal Guardianship Scheme

EDM number 2012 in 1992-93, proposed by Lynne Jones on 13/05/1993.

That this House congratulates the National Trust for establishing the Coastal Guardianship Scheme which encourages schools to adopt areas of National Trust-owned coastline; further congratulates Caerwedros Primary School on adopting Cwmtudu beach in Ceredigion, and therefore becoming the first primary school in Wales to take part in the Coastal Guardianship Scheme; believes that the scheme offers a unique opportunity for young people to take responsibility for their own local environment; and very much hopes that other schools in Wales and throughout the United Kingdom follow the example set by Caerwedros.

This motion has been signed by a total of 27 MPs.
